Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach. 1 Timothy 3:8-13

Nathan Weller |
Nathan Weller was privileged to grow up in a God-fearing family. Christ saved him at a young age, and he is grateful to have been preserved from many of the troubles of the world. After graduating from Caltech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, he married his childhood sweetheart Melanie, another ambassador for the Kingdom of Christ. Nathan found a job with Bently Nevada in the Carson Valley, enabling him and Melanie to stay in Nevada, where they had both grown up, and bringing them into the family at Grace Community Church, where they have grown tremendously in the grace of the Lord. God has, so far, given them 5 blessings (Psalm 127): Isaiah, Elizabeth, Amianna, Susanna, and Elijah; who are being directed in the fear and admonition of the Lord, in hopes that they also may grow up to serve our Lord and Savior with all their hearts and lives. Melanie works full time teaching the kids, and Nathan spends whatever free time he gets away from work with the family and working on various home and church projects. At Grace, Nathan can usually be found somewhere in the vicinity of the sound booth, where he tries his best to make the Word be heard and him not to be seen. Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
