Our Youth Ministries are lead by the Elders with the help of Staff Ministry Assistant Joshua Harmon
Josh, a native Nevadan, is the staff ministry assistant here at Grace Community Church. His responsibilities primarily involve coordinating the Youth Ministry and assisting the elders with preaching, teaching, and visitation. He graduated from Boyce College, Louisville, KY, in 2007 with a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies. Josh and his wife, Michelle, have been blessed with two wonderful children, Joel (age 3) and Kayla (age 1).

Sunday School
Grace Community Church values God’s truth above everything else. It is a precious commodity, which God has entrusted to us, and we in turn must entrust it to others, especially our children. For more information about Sunday School click here.
Kids Desiring God
Kids Desiring God is for 4-12 year olds (up thru 6th grade). It is on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 PM beginning in October and continuing thru April. It is a time of learning, singing and sharing about God. The curriculum is taken from Desiring God Ministries. Children up thru kindergarten are learning that God has established a testimony through Old and New Testament stories. First thru Third graders are studying the names of God. Fourth thru Sixth graders are studying the Providence of God. The first hour (6:30-7:30) is spent in individual classes. Everyone gathers together for the last 1/2 hour to sing and share what they have learned that evening.
Spring Bible Study
The Spring Bible Study will be divided into two groups. Group one is for 7th – 12th grade girls. Group two is for 7th – 12th grade boys. Both groups meet on Wednesday nights 6:30 to 8:00 PM beginning in mid January and continuing thru May. Dividing the youth into these two groups will serve to strengthen the bonds between the youth and provide an atmosphere of focused study. The curriculum is taken from various books at times, but is predominately directly from the Bible.
Summer Bible Study
The Summer Bible Study is for 7th – 12th grade girls and boys. They meet on Wednesday nights 6:30 to 8:00 PM beginning in June and continuing thru September. Having all the youth in one class helps to create a bond of unity, a since of camaraderie and promotes group interaction. The curriculum is taken from various books at times, but is predominately directly from the Bible.
Fall Bible Study
The Fall Bible Study is divided into three groups. Group one is for 7th – 9th grade girls. Group two is for 7th – 9th grade boys. Group three is for 10th – 12th grade girls and boys. All three groups meet on Wednesday nights 6:30 to 8:00 PM beginning in September and continuing thru January. Dividing the youth into these three groups will serve to strengthen the bonds between the youth and provide an atmosphere of focused study. Youth Conferences
Youth Conferences around the west coast are attended by Grace Community Church Youth from time to time. Perhaps the most important is the Riverside Youth Conference. Please check the church calendar links at the top of the page for scheduled events.
College age Bible Studies
The College Bible Study is designed fo High School graduates, between the ages 18-24. This study meets every other Saturday at 5:00 PM.
